2D Development of child room Sketch/mood board
Creating a mood board is an important step in my interior design process. For this children's room project, I chose playful and imaginative elements. I included a mountain-shaped headboard in soft pastel colors. To make the space cozy, I added plush toys and decorative pillows.
I also hung airplane decorations from the ceiling. A giraffe-themed study area gives the room an adventurous feel. These details help encourage creativity and comfort. The mood board is a visual guide. It ensures the final design matches the planned look and function. This process helps me to organize ideas and clearly.
After making the mood board, I had a clear idea of what I wanted. So, I created a sketch of the design. The sketch shows a cozy bedroom with a bed that has storage drawers underneath and a headboard. Next to the bed, there is a small desk with art supplies, perfect for creative activities. A bookshelf filled with books stands nearby. Above the bed, I drew clouds, suns, and rainbows on the wall to give the room a playful feel.
The window in the sketch shows a blue sky with clouds, bringing in a sense of openness and light. This sketch captures the mood board’s essence and turns it into a detailed design. Now that I have this sketch, I can start working directly on the project. With a clear idea in mind, I can move forward with confidence and precision.
