WELCOME POST ART PORTFOLIO 2

Welcome back to my blog, I'm excited to return from my break to DMU and continue learning Art Portfolio 2. In this term, I'm willing to thrive in this module by gaining new skills, techniques, and ideas.

During my summer vacation spent in Chefchaouen in Morocco. The colors took my breath away, as every neighborhood has its own charm and story behind it. As walking around the street look similar yet different from each other. Because the whole city is blue it represents the color of sky and connects the city to heaven and makes its citizens feel safe and peaceful.

'Few locals believe that the city is blue because it looks good. According to the Islamic culture, happiness and optimism are represented by the color blue.'(Arch20, 2022)

These scenes inspire me as an interior design student that blue with traditional buildings, natural textures, and artisanal decor.

For this term I have an interior design project, in this project, I have to make a boy's room that is 5 years old, this image constitutes shades of blue, so it inspires me to make different tones of blue for the walls, furniture and accessories. I will create a dynamic, engaging bedroom that feels comfortable and playful for the young boy.

So I had the idea of making a mirror and a board in the boys' room, I tried to draw two accessories, and I'm using them in my project.
